People stop to take photographs of Siwash Rock along the Stanley Park seawall in Vancouver, B.C., on Sunday August 25, 2013. The 125th birthday of the park is being celebrated by the city this weekend. It opened in 1888 and is named after Canada’s Governor General at the time, Lord Frederick Stanley. Earlier this year Travel and Leisure magazine ranked it among the world’s most beautiful city parks, citing its skyline views and forest of 500,000 cedar, fir and hemlock trees set on 400-hectares.
